Children's drawing of four people and the words Thank you for fighting for us!

The VVC plays an important role in supporting Victorian veterans and their families and advocating to government on the issues affecting the Victorian veteran community.

I, along with my fellow Council members on the Victorian Veterans Council, am delighted to present this dedicated website for the Victorian community and in particular for all Victorian veterans.

We hope the website will be a valuable resource for veterans and their families, as well as ex-service organisations and others who seek to support veterans as they transition to civilian life in Victoria. On this website veterans and their families will find information and links to other resources in the areas of support services, housing, education and employment, and health and wellbeing. There is information about key commemorative events, recognition of service, and resources to help Victorians learn more about our war history and heritage. And there is information about the patriotic funds for which the VVC are Trustees.

Recognising the primary role the Commonwealth plays in services and support for veterans, the website brings together Commonwealth, Victorian Government and community resources in one place.

I encourage you to explore the site and let us know what you think through the ‘Was this page helpful?’ feedback option. We are keen to continually improve the website, so it meets the needs of veterans, their families, ex-service organisations and the Victorian public.
